Job DescriptionLaSalle has partnered with a dynamic and impactful non-profit organization with a strong commitment to serving the Chicago community. They are seeing a dedicated and detail-oriented Grant Accountant to join their team and support their mission.
As a Grant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of their grants and funding sources. You will work closely with various departments, program managers and external stakeholders to manage the accounting and reporting functions for our grants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant accounting, exceptional attention to detail and a passion for contributing to meaningful causes. Grant Accountant Responsibilities:Oversee grant financial activities including budgeting, expense allocation and trackingPrepare and submit financial reports according to grantor requirementsEnsure compliance with grant terms and regulationsMaintain accurate grant accounting recordsGenerate timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports for stakeholdersAssist in preparing the organization's overall financial statementsCollaborate with program managers on grant budgets and forecastsMonitor budget variances and provide insightful analysisAssist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentationEnsure compliance with relevant accounting standardsIdentify and implement opportunities for process improvement within grant accountingGrant Accountant Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fieldProficiency in accounting software and MS ExcelStrong understanding of accounting principles and regulations applicable to non-profit organizationsExcellent analytical, organizational and communication skillsIf you feel qualified, please apply today!
