Position Summary Concordia University is seeking qualified applicants for a Graduate Assistant position in Sports Information. This part-time position will be located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and be confirmed enrollees in a Concordia University graduate education program in good academic standing.
Concordia is a Christian university affiliated with the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod. The Sports Information Graduate Assistant is a 2-year position. This position covers partial tuition for a Masters Degree program and a small stipend.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Create and publish content to the Athletic Department social media platforms in a professional and timely manner Record live statistics for home and (when applicable) neutral site games. Update schedules, rosters, records, and statistics on the athletics website - concordiacardinals.com Write press releases/game recaps Report statistics to conference and national offices Manage the press box/scorer's table at home events, including overseeing the game day staff Perform assorted game day duties, i.e. public address announcing and scoreboard operation, as needed Aid with the video streaming of home athletic events Provide input and necessary materials for selection of Athlete of the Week and/or other awards Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Proficient or basic knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Premiere Pro Proficient or basic knowledge in statting games in PrestoSports Proficient or basic knowledge of website content management systems (PrestoSports) Demonstrates effective leadership, organizational skills, and is a self-starter Must have strong communication skills Able to present a Christian and professional manner Candidates should possess strong written and oral communications skills All candidates should possess an ability to meet deadlines Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field required Enrollment in a Concordia University graduate education program required Application Instructions To receive full consideration, all applicants are asked to complete and submit an online employment application through the Concordia University Employment page.
