Responsibilities
• Provide advice and consultation on safety and environmental regulations• Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions in the workplace• Coordinate on-site inspections and audits• Develop controls for identified hazards• Prepare safety training materials and procedures• Participate in safety committee meetings• Analyze injury and loss data, recommend corrective actions• Ensure safety requirements are incorporated into purchasing and contracting• Assist in monitoring adherence to safety program• Perform other related duties as directed
Requirements
• BS degree in engineering or related field preferred• Certification for radiation safety officer (RSO)• 8 years of related safety/operational experience• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance• Ability to deliver hands-on training• Excellent communication skills• Skilled in health, safety, and environmental fields
