Job Description SummaryThe Global EHS Operations Specialist is part of the ONW COE EHS Team, is the focal point of business EHS operating rhythms and managing workflow across the EHS organization to ensure execution of EHS actions and alignment of results with expected business outcomes.The role supports both fixed facility and distributed operations (projects and services) and will provide operational EHS input to drive execution of work to meet KPIs and TTIs, ensuring the EHS function delivers on commitments and actions.The individual will have solid understanding of EHS legislation applicable to our business and be able to provide domain technical expertise and leadership necessary to drive compliance, meet customer expectation and achieve Environment, Health and Safety excellence.This role will also be responsible for driving excellence and safety culture change across the organization and will provide input and support the wider Onshore Wind EHS team as we work to build one successful organization.Job DescriptionAbout us:GE's Onshore Wind business has a total installed base of more than 50,000 wind turbines in morethan 35 counties, with 100+ GW of global installed capacity. We arecommitted to ourcustomers' success in wind, offering a broad portfolio of products and services that makerenewables the energy of choice for a cleaner future.Essential Responsibilities:Lead EHS event management, including Read Across program and proactively support regional teams with RCAs to drive improved performance outcomes.Support culture change transformation.Develop, set up and monitor key EHS initiatives and objectives among ONW.Support operational High-Risk EHS Operation activities, coordinating cross-regional team and cross functionally to drive consistent application and implementation across the business.Be the EHS focal point for Environment/Sustainability expectations, including ISO and EHS logistics activities at the ONW EHS staff level.Conduct cross-region EHS audits and provide detailed reports on findings and necessary actions.Strong ability to problem solve and led trend analysis of EHS data to enable improvement opportunities.Support or lead EHS process improvements, standardizing, simplifying and/or automating routine processes.Remain current with and/or develop necessary understanding of EHS regulations specific to assigned priorities and/or job scope.Have a deep understanding of GE EHS programs specific to assigned priorities and/or job scope.Serve as a coach and technical expert cross functionally, in order embed EHS expectations across the organization, building a sustainable EHS culture.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent from an accredited college or university, or equivalent qualification.Certified Environment or Health and Safety professional.Solid, demonstrated technical domain associated with EHS, lean and problem solving. Clearly understands the EHS risks, operational and legal requirements associated with different scope of work or execution across projects/services environment.Medical fitness and ability to work at height per local and global standards.Fluent English with strong communication skills (verbal and written).Desired Characteristics:Ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal.Sustainability knowledgeEHS logistics knowledgeDemonstrated experience leading change or cultural development.Able to coach and support key influencers to drive EHS compliance and the reduction of risk through team engagement and help develop an organizational culture that prioritizes EHS.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues with competing prioritiesDeep knowledge of GE's EHS programs.Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and drive change and interact cross-functionallyStrong analytical and critical thinking skills.Trained to Global Wind Organization (GWO) basic safety standard.Additional language skills.Eligibility Requirements:Ability to travel up to 45% of the time.?The salary range for this position is $108,500 - $180,900. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
