Are you adept at collecting, analyzing, and presenting geographic information system (GIS) data? The Pennsylvania Game Commission is looking to hire a Geospatial Analyst to work out of our Harrisburg Headquarters. Get involved with the entire System Development Life Cycle and work closely with the Technical Services and Data Resources divisions in the Bureau of Automated Technology Services (BATS), to lead and coordinate agency-wide and bureau-focused GIS projects. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Geospatial Analyst, you will serve as a lead in GIS support to the Pennsylvania Game Commission bureaus with your robust knowledge of Esri ArcGIS and other related software. System Development Life Cycle processes in this position include spatial data design and engineering, spatial analysis and geoprocessing, creating a variety of data visualizations, producing reports and technical documentation, and more! With BATS you will help provide design, development, and support for GIS server architecture and infrastructure, ensure GIS data and server security and compliance, spatial and non-spatial database administration, and support software applications as appropriate. You will collaborate closely with regional Geospatial Specialist 2 staff to lead and coordinate agency-wide, bureau-focused GIS projects as well as provide backup support, technical training, and quality control training for GIS and other staff as needed. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Geospatial Specialist 2 (commonwealth title); or Two years of technical experience utilizing geospatial programs to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, maintain and present geospatial data; and an associate's degree in geographic information systems, geography, geospatial technology, cartography, computer science, natural science, or related STEM field (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), including or supplemented by six (6) credits in geospatial coursework; or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes or is supplemented by six (6) credits in geospatial coursework.

This particular position requires two or more years of full-time professional experience using ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online. This particular position requires one or more years of full-time professional experience developing automated scripts using Python or R for ArcGIS Pro. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
