? Role: GIS Analyst

An exciting utility-scale solar and storage operator and developer are searching for a hands on GIS Analyst to join their team and work alongside their development, land, interconnection and construction departments throughout the entire project life cycle.
You will play a crucial role in supporting their utility-scale solar projects by providing geospatial analysis mapping, and data management expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS, spatial analysis, and data visualization, with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct spatial analysis to support site selection, land acquisition, interconnection, and project development activities.
Utilize GIS tools and techniques to analyze geographic data, identify suitable sites for solar installations, and assess environmental factors.
Create high-quality maps and visualizations to communicate project-related information effectively.
Manage geospatial data collected from various sources, including satellite imagery, aerial surveys, and internally generated databases.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in GIS, geography, computer science, or similar field from accredited institution plus some professional experience in the GIS field; or masters degree from accredited institution in GIS, geography, computer science, or similar field
Multiple years of experience with Esris suite of products: ArcGIS Pro 2.7+, ArcGIS Online, Dashboards, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Instant Apps, Web App Builder and/or Experience Builder, and Model Builder
Experience creating map product deliverables and general knowledge of cartographic principles: projections, conversion of file formats, metadata, symbolization best practices, etc.
Experience automating workflows within ArcGIS either via Model Builder or Python ? Ability to be creative and problem-solve unique problems from a technological and spatial perspective.
