General Superintendent - Earthworks Location: Summerville/Charleston, SC
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday- Some weekends when needed
Experience: 3-6 Years in Construction Management
About the Role: Our client, a reputable earthworks construction firm, seeks a hands-on Field Operations Manager. If you're seasoned in managing construction crews, operating machinery, and ensuring project success, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily field operations, ensuring efficiency and quality work. Operate heavy machinery, including track hoes and bulldozers. Lead a crew of 2-3 individuals, ensuring productivity and adherence to quality standards. Communicate with inspectors, clients, and team members effectively. Handle small-scale projects such as erosion control, mailbox installations, and sediment basin construction. Manage water and sewer line projects, primarily residential (90%) and occasional commercial work (10%). Qualifications: 3-6 years of construction management experience. Proficient in operating track hoes, bulldozers, and similar equipment. Experience in water and sewer line projects, from installation to replacement. Proven ability to lead and manage a construction crew. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Multitasking ability and experience with cost estimates.
