General Laborer

Job summary
The Stormwater Compliance Technician/General Laborer is responsible for the overall performance of the facility stormwater system and for dust control on site.Tasks include inspecting, maintaining, and cleaning the stormwater collection and conveyance structures and truck tire wash, as well as performing tasks that control fugitive dust emissions.The job also involves general housekeeping and site inspections.

Responsibilities
• Assisting, supporting, and participating in stormwater collection, conveyance, and discharge processes.• Removing dirt, sediments, and other materials from drains, weir and inlet system, and site roadways.• Performing and documenting regular site and surface water system inspections.• Performing routine maintenance work for stormwater, dust control, track out, and site housekeeping.• Taking part in annual stormwater pollution prevention training.• Maintaining wheel wash performance by inspecting and cleaning system components.• Maintaining record keeping for site inspections, truck tire wash, and street sweeper logs.• Operating street sweeper and water truck on site.• Using proper PPE and adhering to safety regulations and protocols.• Performing other assigned duties.
Requirements
• Experience operating light equipment.• Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold temperatures.• Physically demanding job with activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.• Ability to exert physical effort for long periods of time.• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.• Good communication and leadership skills.• Safety-first mentality.• Positive attitude and ability to maintain a production-focused environment.• Good problem-solving skills.• Basic computer skills preferred.
