About PKL Services Inc.We are an elite provider ofskilled personnel, deliveringAerospace Maintenance, Administrative Support, Training,and Logistics Services while being committed to continual improvement, exceeding customer expectations, and implementing quality standards in dynamic environments.About the rolePKL Services Inc. is seekinga knowledgeable administrative professional to support a military squadron in a General Clerk III role to provide administrative services in support of theCommander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) at VFA-106, NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach VA.Daily duties include:Follow clearly detailed procedures in performing simple repetitive tasks in the same sequence. Responsibilities include filing pre-coded documents in a chronological file, or operating office equipment, (e.g., mimeograph, photocopy, addressograph or mailing machine). This position uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. Selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures. Be familiar with the terminology of the office environment. Recognize problems and referred them to others.Training Department Administrative Support ServicesPerformance Objective: The contractor provide administrative services to support the Training Department and facilitate flight training documentation requirements of staff and student personnel.The contractor shall greet visitors to the office and department, and answer questions regarding office procedures and policies.The contractor shall receive draft documents, enter into the tracking system, review each for completeness, prepare, proof, route for government review, and archive according to established guidelines and directives.The contractor shall make non-substantive changes real time. Recommendations for substantive changes shall be made to the Technical Assistant (TA) to the COR and implemented by the contractor upon TA approval.Documents include instructions, notices, directives, messages, letters, memorandums, point papers, leave requests, fitness reports/evaluations, award recommendations and briefings.The contractor shall draft and route the daily flight schedule and maintain the department calendar and briefing room schedule.The contractor shall receive, distribute, and file flight related publications and charts.The contractor shall ensure all flight publications and charts are kept current.The contractor shall maintain Aviator Flight Logbooks and Aviator Training Jackets.The contractor shall perform flight and simulator data input and retrieval requirements in Sierra Hotel Aviation Reporting Program (SHARP) and Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) database, verifying the accuracy and agreement of both databases.About youWed love to hear from you if you have:High school diploma or equivalent. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Past experience working in an office administrative environment (two years).Preferred Experience:Three (3) years experiences is preferred in supervisory or managerial position in a U.S. Navy activity as a uniformed service member, civil servant or contractor employee performing routine Administrative, Personnel Administrative Support Services, or Travel Administrative Support Services duties.Preferred familiarity with one or more of the following systems/processes/functions is desired: Command Pay/Personnel Support System (PASS); Command PASS Coordinator (CPC); Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Transaction Online Processing (TOPS), Master Military Pay Account (MMPA), Electronic Service Records (ESR)Required Work Authorization/Security Clearance:This position is subject to a government security investigation. Requires access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII), unclassified sensitive information, unclassified Department of Defense Information Technology (DoD IT) systems, and the host installation or squadron spaces. Must be able to receive a Government Common Access Card (CAC), access Government systems, and requirements of Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 1000.13 and SECNAVMAN 5510.30 (series) and SECNAVINST 5211.5 (series) prior to performing administrative services outlined in the PWS. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours per day. Evening or weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Hours are subjected to change based on the needs of the squadron. Occasional telework may also be required upon request of the customer or PKL.Travel:Five percent (5%) of travel may be required for job-related training attendance.Work Environment / Physical Requirements:Office environment Ability to sit for long periods of time.
