Job Title: Gate Agent
Location: 9333 N Harborgate St, Portland, OR 97203
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Salary: $25.00 per hour
Job Summary: As the Customer Service and Scale House Specialist, you will utilize excellent communication and customer service skills to drive a high level of customer satisfaction. In addition, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers at our Portland facility, calculate their invoices, take payment , also serve as a back- up for our Dispatch team and will need to be responsible for maintaining all equipment files. Additionally, you will work with the Dispatch and Sales teams to provide Customer information, resolve Customer concerns, and escalate any challenging Customer issues to management.

Duties and Responsibilities: • Greet customers, direct the flow of inbound and outbound gate traffic, and manage a high volume of phone calls throughout the day
• Correctly calculate payments for Scale-house customers
• Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Answering incoming sales calls or web-based inquiries, providing timely quotes and follow-ups maximizing the customer experience
• Building favorable customer relations through customer service - ensuring onboarding experience was appropriate with periodic follow-up calls to further ensure continued satisfaction
• Assist with the 'Welcome Letter' and 'Anniversary Letter' programs with customers
• Maintain relationships with customers by providing fast and accurate information regarding services
• Responsible for keeping/maintaining all trailer files in compliance with DOT regulations
• Assist with general office duties
• Bi-lingual - Spanish
Required Skills/Abilities: • Strong telephone, customer service, and time management skills, able to work independently, be well organized, and meticulous
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidently communicate with other departments, including senior management.
• Proven critical thinking skills
• MS Office suite experience, with intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel
• Listening/Confirming/Acknowledging in all communications
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work, meet agreed-upon deadlines, and possess excellent follow-through skills.
• History of championing company initiatives
• A supportive, cheerful outlook, high degree of professionalism, and solid work ethic
• SalesForce or customer management system experience a strong plus
