Garden Shop Sales Associate

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Fort Collins Nursery, the premier Northern Colorado nursery dedicated to growing top-quality plants and staff, is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as seasonal Garden Shop Sales Associates. We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time positions; our season typically runs from date of hire through mid-July.
Starting rate of pay: $15-16/hr. depending on qualifications.
Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service by working to understand the needs and preferences of customers, and provide them with information about relevant Nursery products and services. Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor. Assist with restocking shelves, pricing product, and creating attractive displays. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment while maintaining a high level of integrity and accuracy. Stay informed about current and seasonal gardening trends, new products, and share this knowledge with customers to enhance their shopping experience. Work collaboratively with fellow team members to create a positive and supportive work environment. Contribute a cohesive team that strives for excellence in customer service. Qualifications: Passion for gardening and plant care helpful. Previous retail experience a plus, but not required. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly (with assistance). Position will spend majority of shift on feet in a variety of weather conditions while communicating with customers. Benefits: Accrued paid time off for sick leave and vacation.  Education benefits.
