You'll work with a cross-disciplinary team of game designers, engineers and artists on LEGO Fortnite's Sandbox game mode that millions of players use to enjoy and express themselves.In this role, you willWork on expanding Sandbox mode with new features. Implement and drive these new features forwardWork closely with other design departments to adopt existing LEGO Fortnite features to work well in Sandbox modeWork with LEGO Fortnite's Building and Physics teams to ensure that our suite of in-game creation tools is as expressive and player-friendly as possibleRoutinely play and experiment in Sandbox mode to see what works and how to improve itMonitor the internal tooling and ingestion workflows and either fix them yourself, or refer them to the proper engineering resourcesSuggest UX changes for how Sandbox mode should function, and how it attracts the largest possible audienceWhat we're looking forA seasoned Unreal Engine gameplay designer who isn't afraid to touch any part of the editorThe ability to document features and drive your fellow developers towards completion of these featuresThe ability to quickly prototype mechanicsThe experience to ship features that are thoughtfully implemented & easily maintainedSomebody who loves systemic gameplay and who is excited to empower players with toys and toolsGood communication and interpersonal skillsWell-rounded and equally comfortable scripting Blueprint logic, creating physics setups or creating state machinesEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEOur intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life.
