Responsibilities
• Complete admission procedures, paperwork, and orientation• Monitor urinalysis collection• Search and dispose of forbidden items• Administer tuberculosis skin tests• Document nursing assessment and treatment plan• Provide direct care to individuals• Monitor for intoxication and withdrawal symptoms• Provide medically monitored evaluation and withdrawal management• Maintain hygienic and safe work environment• Maintain documentation and administer medication• Provide emotional support and referrals• Maintain professional boundaries• Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
• Unrestricted RN license in New Hampshire• Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens• Prefer 1 year of detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing experience• Prefer working knowledge of medical detoxification for substance abuse• Knowledge of substance intoxication and withdrawal symptoms• Excellent customer service skills• Ability to work with a diverse population• Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills• Ability to perform physical demands of the position• Knowledge of addiction medicine criteria and substance-related disorders• Knowledge of nursing ethics and confidentiality laws• Ability to work varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships• Pass satisfactory drug screen and background check
