Position open until filled (or recruitment canceled).College of the Arts School of Art The School of Art is looking for a full-time lecturer in Illustration, who can teach both beginning and advanced illustration courses emphasizing editorial image making. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in teaching watercolor painting at the college level with a focus on observational and representational strategies. The full-time lecturer will also serve in an advisory role as the program's BFA exhibition coordinator each semester, and will need experience in the jurying process, student portfolio review and advising, and exhibition installation. An understanding of contemporary illustration practice, knowledge of professional practices, and a strong visual imagination are essential to the program's core philosophyThe School of Art is dedicated to its mission of creating a comprehensive art school experience within the context of a large publicly funded state university.
