Responsibilities
• Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.• Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately.• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of appointment slots.• Answer and manage incoming calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate department.• Verify insurance information and assist patients with billing-related queries.• Maintain a neat and organized reception area, ensuring a positive first impression for patients.• Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently, collecting necessary co-payments and providing receipts.• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts.• Keep patient records confidential and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.• Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and photocopying.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Front Office Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.• Proficient in using office equipment, including phone systems and computer software.• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare procedures.• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.• Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism.• Familiarity with insurance verification processes.• High school diploma or equivalent.• Must be able to work as a team.
