Position Overview:
As the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our business unit's financial planning and analysis function. This includes preparing accurate and timely financial forecasts, reports, and analyses to support our business objectives. You will collaborate cross-functionally and engage with senior management to present operating plans and provide regular updates on financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage yearly and regular financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyze critical financial metrics such as sales, pricing, and efficiency to provide detailed insights.
- Support the General Manager and Director of Finance with various deliverables and ad hoc requests from Corporate.
- Enhance financial reporting by leveraging digital tools and improving systems connectivity.
- Collaborate with product line managers to contribute to their reporting and support commercial growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities, drive objectives, and address risks in collaboration with business unit leadership.
- Lead and refine financial planning and analysis policies and procedures.
- Serve as the business unit administrator for corporate reporting tools.
- Participate in projects spanning multiple financial disciplines, contributing to strategic planning and analysis.
- Assist with mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence and integration efforts.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes and systems.
- Evaluate economic changes and competition to inform strategic decision-making.
- Review investment proposals and provide comprehensive analysis as needed.
- Lead efforts to optimize business intelligence tool investments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee accounting and financial planning and analysis for specific entities.
- Perform other duties as required to support the department and company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of managerial experience.
- Formal program experience such as Green Belt/Black Belt Training or Lean - Six Sigma is a plus.
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent designation preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; conversational proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to interpret financial models.
- Ability to effectively manage physical demands associated with the role.
