The Financial Planning and Analysis Lead Analyst is a senior professional role responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of Citi's financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to contribute to directional strategy as well as utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to provide advice/counsel on the evaluation of financial reports of Citi's current and projected performance.Responsibilities:Drive end to end expense management for the International segment including delivering Plan and ensuring resourcing aligns with strategic prioritiesManage forward looking processes, partnering with FP&A, including forecasts, strategic/operating plans, monthly outlooks, and review results against plans monthlyPartner with FP&A counterparts to generate reporting and analytics, identifying key trends / areas of focus and providing actionable insights to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or controlLead detailed review of the entire International cost base and drive right-placing or rationalization of expenses including managing the productivity program to identify savesPartner with FP&A counterparts to create the expense Operating Plan for International, overseeing outputs of Finance driven exercises (QMMF, model analytics, etc.)Partner with the business to effectively manage resourcing needs across International, including headcount (detailed tracking of attrition / replacement and ensuring proper organizational structure is in place), T&E, Advertising & Marketing (including sponsorship tracking and tracking vs. FBE), etc.Manage the expense approval process and ensure approved expenses are within PlanCreate analyses and explain charge out process to key stakeholdersCreate ad-hoc analyses for business review purposes and presentations for senior managementAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Qualifications:6-10 years of relevant experienceProficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applicationsEffective verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated presentation skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster's degree preferredThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
