Provide a strong contribution to the safety culture and programs, encouraging and ensuring others do the same Provide advisement to ensure project impacts and mitigations match sustainability values Lead efforts to deliver authorizations and permits for major mining projects through NEPA and state and federal permitting, and provide budgets to the project team for such work. Work closely with project and site teams and provide technical expertise on environmental standards and practices Engage with state agencies, federal agencies, and local governments through meetings and written submittals and reports Coordinate baseline and technical studies and design permit applications to reflect mine and project plans Develop scopes of work and manage contractors and consultants Maintain project schedules, scopes, and budgets and implement project controls The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive Qualifications:Bachelor's degree Natural Resources, Science, Engineering, Environmental Planning or a related field with five or more years experiencerequiredExperience in management of environmental programs including air quality, water quality, wildlife, geochemistry, hydrology, waste management, and cultural resourcesrequiredUnderstanding of environmental compliance on federal lands and private landsrequiredExperience in extractive industries or mining experiencerequiredProven technical expertise and understanding of environmental laws, policies, and objectivesrequiredProject management experiencerequiredAbility to travel within the state of Nevada to support project needsrequiredWhat We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!
