seeking a qualified and experienced Foundry Manager to oversee all aspects of our production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees, ensuring efficient and safe operations, and meeting production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of foundry operations, including melting, molding, pouring, casting, cleaning, and finishing.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure castings meet customer specifications.
Develop and implement production schedules that optimize efficiency and meet deadlines.
Manage foundry budget and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Supervise and train foundry personnel, ensuring they understand and adhere to safety protocols.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with all OSHA regulations.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and identify preventative maintenance needs.
Liaise with engineering and sales teams to ensure production aligns with customer requirements.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies in foundry operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a foundry management role.
Proven experience in leading and motivating a team in a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of foundry processes, including melting, molding, pouring, and casting techniques.
Strong understanding of quality control principles and procedures.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Commitment to safety and a proven ability to maintain a safe work environment.
