Summary The Field Construction Crew Worker I is responsible for performing various construction related duties at a construction site, such as mixing, pouring and shoveling concrete.
Essential Job Duties Pours, spreads and finishes concrete. Designs, builds and sets up concrete forms. Cuts and ties rebar to reinforce concrete. Molds expansion joints and edges. Punches, cuts and drills holes in concrete. Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel. Lifts and carries scale/building materials, tools, and supplies. Removes concrete and scales. Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas. Additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications - Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous general work experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously. Work Environment - Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
This position typically works outdoors. May be exposed to extreme temperatures. The employee will be exposed to and working near moving mechanical parts and equipment. Constant and proper use of personal protective equipment is required to be worn while on work sites. Regularly required to talk and hear; Ability to perform strenuous tasks with your hands. Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
