2am or 4am Start time available FULL TIME End Time Fluctuate with freight volume Job Stability Benefits package PTO Accrual and Paid Holidays A Great Wage Paid weekly Consistent Wage Increases Salary: $20.00 per hour Job Description Forklift Operators are responsible to load and unload trailers. 95% of your time is spent on the forklift working with a team of other operators in an open, cross dock environment.
Safe Forklift Operation: Operate sit down safely and efficiently to move, stack, and load/unload materials, ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all times. Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of materials and products handled, making note of quantities, locations, and any damages or discrepancies. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets with precision, ensuring that goods are properly secured to prevent damage during transportation. Dock Management: Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the dock area, including removing debris and obstructions, and ensuring clear pathways for equipment and personnel. Quality Control: Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for any visible damage, report discrepancies, and work with the team to resolve issues. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations and participate in safety training. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, report any defects or issues, and help with recharging batteries or changing propane tanks. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year experience operating a forklift. Forklift certification per OSHA standards. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
