Forklift Mechanic

The Ameriforge Maintenance Department is in search of a qualified and experienced candidate to join the team. This position contributes to the company's success by performing accurate and efficient complex maintenance and installation of all phases of mechanical equipment, serves as a quality control point for the work of less senior maintenance mechanics and ensures all work is performed in a safe manner.ResponsibilitiesPerform PM service on Forklifts and other motorized equipmentPerform breakdown repairs on Forklifts and motorized equipmentExamines equipment to diagnose problemsDisassemble machinery and repairs or replaces broken partsDismantle, test and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools and power tool and tests apparatus to locate defectsClean and lubricate partsProvide advice, guidance and training to less senior maintenance mechanicsInspect the work of othersMay operate forklift as neededFollow company policies and proceduresSupport and/or participate in the organization's Continuous Improvement Programs Proactively participates in the Ameriforge Safety ProgramOther duties and responsibilities as assigned
