Job Overview: The Fleet and Transportation Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's transportation operations, including managing our fleet of vehicles and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of products to our stores. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement transportation strategies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to our stores
- Manage and maintain the company's fleet of vehicles, including scheduling maintenance and repairs
- Monitor and analyze transportation costs and identify areas for cost savings
- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation vendors and negotiate contracts
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
- Train and supervise transportation staff, including drivers and logistics coordinators
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and inventory, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve transportation efficiency and effectiveness
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the fleet and transportation operations to identify and address any issues
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in transportation technology to improve operations
