Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter/Fabricator to join our team for the day shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, with expertise in reading blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, and assembling metal components to precise specifications.
Responsibilities: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements. Measure, cut, and shape metal components using hand and power tools, including saws, grinders, and cutting torches. Weld and fabricate metal structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards. Assemble fabricated components according to project specifications, using welding, bolting, or riveting techniques. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in metal fabrication techniques and technologies. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Fitter/Fabricator in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, and assembly. Experience operating fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, and welding machines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to metal fabrication. Welding certification (e.g., AWS) preferred but not required.
