FIRE INSPECTOR I OR II Inspector I $24.68 - $26.85 & Inspector II $27.06 - $28.46
Tooele City is accepting applications for a part-time, variable hour position as a Fire Inspector I or II.
Working with the Fire Chief, our inspectors perform technical and administrative work related to public education, fire inspection, and fire prevention relevant to business licensing and alleged violations received by the City.
Required qualifications:
High school diploma (or equivalent) Possess and maintain a valid Utah State Driver License and driving record acceptable to Tooele City's insurance and risk management guidelines The fire inspector career ladder series includes certification requirements that must be achieved for entry and career ladder advancement:
Inspector I - Must be certified through Utah Fire Rescue Academy as Fire Inspector I, or equivalent certification through another government agency (i.e. Federal which normally provides testing on NFPAI) that provides testing of fire inspection knowledge, skills, and abilities. Inspector II - Must meet qualifications for Inspector I and attain Fire Inspector I certification through the International Code Council (ICC). The hours of this position vary and are scheduled with the Chief.
