Position: Finishing and Processing Technician (Chambers Technician)

We are currently experiencing significant growth and have an immediate opening for a Finishing and Processing Technician (Chamber Technician). Operating under minimal supervision, this role involves executing various tasks within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment to prepare parts or subassemblies for the subsequent stages of the production process, which may include internal assembly and/or packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
* Skillfully remove machining imperfections from parts through manual blending, polishing, and creating edge breaks on precision components.
* Execute processing procedures such as graining, masking, deburring, and cleaning.
* Implement directional lay patterns as specified in customer drawings.
* Perform hardware installations.
* Attain critical surface finishes to meet customer cosmetic standards.
* Utilize a pneumatic epoxy gun to apply epoxy.
* Handle packaging and shipping of vendor parts for external processing.
* Ensure adherence to standard procedures across all work aspects, including tool setup, operation, process validation, product inspection, documentation, and material handling.
* Maintain orderly and complete documentation, including certifications, work orders, process sheets, etc.
* Ensure compliance of parts processing with quality standards and customer specifications.
* Possess general knowledge of cleanroom practices and the ability to work within a cleanroom environment.
* Conduct tests as per customer specifications, such as helium leak checks.
* Adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training is advantageous.
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
* Familiarity with various types of pneumatic sanders and their appropriate usage.
* Ability to accurately follow detailed instructions, interpret technical drawings/designs, engineering specifications, and process/equipment guidelines.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Capacity to stand for extended periods.
* Basic math or industrial mathematics skills are desirable.
