Financial Operations Manager Job Description Summary
This position presents an exciting opportunity to assume a leadership role in finance operations, overseeing and guiding a team responsible for revenue management, expense tracking, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and job-related accounting tasks. The Financial Operations Manager will also play a crucial role in process control and validation, process improvement, and providing business support to ensure the overall financial well-being and efficiency of the Americas Valuation & Advisory business. Job Description Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to drive high performance and professional growth. Oversee and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of revenue management processes, including research analysis, commission applications, policy tracking, and revenue recognition. Monitor and track expenses, implementing effective strategies for expense management and identifying opportunities for cost optimization. Supervise and ensure the accuracy of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations. Conduct regular analysis and reporting on financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and optimize financial processes, implementing process controls and validations where necessary. Support business operations by providing financial insights, conducting financial models, and contributing to strategic decision-making. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, auditors, and regulatory authorities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in finance operations, accounting, or a similar role. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Experience working with offshore teams is highly beneficial. In-depth knowledge of revenue management, expense tracking, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP) processes. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency. Working experience or training Lean and/or Six Sigma preferred. Advanced proficiency in Workday, SalesForce, or other like systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
