UNM's Facilities Management is hiring a Financial Officer (Optg Grp) in Albuquerque, NM.The Financial Officer will oversee financial operations across Facilities Management and its units.The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management and be highly organized.

Responsibilities
• Provide financial oversight for Facilities Management and its units.• Supervise the Accounting and Work Control units.• Prepare strategic and operating plans for the division's finances.• Review and analyze budgeting operations and capital programs.• Forecast and plan financial initiatives.• Coordinate the development, preparation, and submission of budgets and financial reports.• Provide strategic direction in financial operations and activities.• Collaborate with staff within FM, as well as internal and external stakeholders.• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.• Deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with at least 15 credit hours of Accounting.• 5 years of directly related experience.• Preferred qualifications include CPA, MBA, or MA/MS in accounting or finance.• Experience with UNM Policy 7000, Banner, LoboMart, MyReports, Chrome River, and UNM Purchasing policies and procedures.• Ability to compile, analyze, and present complex financial reports and projections.• Experience in managing business office functions in a university or similar organization.• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Effective communication and leadership skills.• Familiarity with TMA or computer maintenance management system.
