Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Financial Division Controller to join our Regional Beef accounting team at the Corporate office in Greeley, Colorado. The focus of this role is the financial side of the business unit accounting function. This includes working with plant and corporate accounting teams as well as business leadership to provide accurate and actionable information, while increasing efficiency and focusing on process improvements. In this position, you will manage 2 employees, including an Accountant and a Senior Accountant.
Responsibilities:
Oversee budget and expense reportingOversee the daily forecast and weekly P&L reportingOversee inventory management reporting Oversee month end close processOversee balance sheet reconciliationProvide leadership in establishing and monitoring compliance with our internal accounting controls (SOX compliance)Assist in preparation and reporting of annual budgetFocus on improved processes, efficiency, and continuous improvementLead other members of the regional accounting team at corporate - focusing on development and teamworkCollaborate with management to provide reporting and analytics Other duties as assigned Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required5-10 years in an accounting role requiredExperience with Plant P&L Statements is beneficialExperience in SAP, Business Objects, and other systems is helpfulPlant Operational accounting, cattle, or meat experience desiredStrong organizational skills and acute attention to detailExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work as a member and a leader of a teamIntermediate to advanced skills in Excel requiredSelf-motivated, with the ability to work independently and ask questions as needed Passion for the industry and accountingCan perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodationAs a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; Base salary range of $120,000-$150,000; andIncentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in states where it is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for any given position, compensation ranges are specific to those states and takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to a candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role.
