The Finance Team is looking to fill the role of Financial Controllerlocated in their Shelbyville, Kentucky facility. Supporting IPL Macro which has an annual revenue of approximately $110m with significant growth potential and is part of the Environmental, Returnable and Industrial Solutions (ERIS) Division of IPL.
Position Title: Financial Controller (Macro) Location: Shelbyville, Kentucky What you will bring to the role:
Reporting to the Finance Director – Canada & Macro, this is a demanding role for an ambitious and dynamic finance professional with drive, determination, and the desire to work in a highly commercial and growth-focused environment. Leading the Plant Controllers, the Financial Controller will have knowledge and a full understanding of all matters regarding finance for the three locations within IPL Macro, highlighting key value generating activities and risk exposure. Additionally, the Financial Controller will be responsible for financial reporting and able to provide insightful commentary on divisional performance vs. budget and prior year as required.
Essential experience and skills: Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages for Group consolidationManagement of monthly reconciliation process ensuring that all financial accounts are accurate and reconciled – detailed review of key balance sheet reconciliations (Intercompany/Inventory/GRNI)Ownership for internal/external audits; setting out instructions and timetables with all parties, swift resolution of any issues that arise, ensuring reporting deadlines are met, reporting delays (internally and externally), and audit queries are closed in a timely mannerReview of quarterly internal controls submission, preparation of quarterly disclosure packOther general finance function activities as needed; responding to group queries, payment approval, payroll, managing specific parts of the annual budgeting processManage the finance responsibilities to ERP system currently in implementationMotivate, coach, and develop team; build capability, training plans, and succession plansBe a visible leader across the business who promotes and "lives" the Group's values and cultureSupport the Group's ambition to deliver a best-in-class Finance function globallyThe successful candidate will: A proven Financial Controller with an excellent record of financial and operational achievement in driving accuracy, efficiency, and controlsPossess a degree in accounting, similar field or preferably MBA with at least 6 years post qualified experienceExperience in a manufacturing environmentChange management experience with ability to lead key projectsSystem implementation and integration experienceExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to quickly establish creditabilityHighly analytical with the ability to delve into the detail to drive improvements in the businessPractical with a positive "can do" attitudeExperience with ERP systems Benefits of working as a Financial Controller in Shelbyville, KY:
