Full job description Duties As a Financial Analyst, you will:
Perform administrative and analytical duties related to accounts receivable, collections and aging activities. Ensure checks and cash are deposited in accordance with the AFRH policies and procedures. Review accounts receivable aging report for discrepancies, resolve issues, and make adjustments as needed. Respond to inquiries concerning resident fees. Requirements Conditions of Employment This opportunity is also open to Status Candidates under Announcement 24-AFRH-85-P. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-09 , you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service.



Specialized experience for this position includes :

Perform administrative and analytical duties related to accounts receivable, billing and collections. AND Applying Agencies / Organizations policies and procedures in relation to commonly used budget or financial practices. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., with a Major course of study in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology.

You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Combining Education and Experience: When combining education with experience, first determine your total qualifying education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; then determine your experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level. (For example: the completion of 50% of the requirements for a Masters and 6 months of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07.) Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grade GS-9. Education Education Requirements:
The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT : A one year probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. As a federal employee, you will be subject to the Standards of Ethical Conduct, and the U.S. criminal conflict of interest statutes. As an AFRH employee, you will also be subject to the AFRH Supplemental Ethics Regulations which restrict the extent to which a AFRH employee can engage in certain activities and hold certain investments. Depending on your position, you may also be required to file a public or confidential financial disclosure report which must be filed within 30 days of your appointment as an employee of AFRH. Upon your new appointment, you will receive guidance regarding your ethics obligations. You will also be required to attend a mandatory ethics training within 3 months of your appointment. Rating : You will be assessed on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics):
Technical Communication Research and Analysis. Category rating will be used to rank and select eligible candidates. If qualified, you will be assigned to one of three quality level categories: A (highest quality category), B (middle quality category), or C (minimally qualified category), depending on your responses to the online questions, regarding your experience, education, and training related to this position. Your rating may be lowered if your responses to the online questions are not supported by the education and/or experience described in your application. Applicants that are in the top category will then be referred for an additional review by a Subject Matter Expert ("SME"). Veterans' preference is applied after applicants are assessed.
