Financial Analyst Job Description Summary
The Capital Markets Financial Analyst ("CMFA") Pool Analyst will support transactions generated by Cushman & Wakefield's Investment Sales brokerage services specializing in multifamily investments. The primary role of the CMFA will be to perform financial analysis activities of pricing, Excel valuation model creation and auditing, due diligence collection and review, market data collection, and translating analysis findings into high-level summaries with oversight from senior members of the team.
The ideal candidate will be based in Charleston, SC and available to work on-site in a local Cushman & Wakefield office. Team members may be expected to travel and work outside normal operating hours to meet project deadlines. Job Description Support the execution of Broker financial analysis / modeling requests Prepare pro forma statements, discounted cash flow analyses, and excel-based financial models with consideration of market conditions Create Broker Opinion of Values and Marketing Materials in Excel and InDesign as well as work closely with the Broker and Graphics team to schedule and meet deadlines. Create quarterly market reports in InDesign for the markets in which the team operates by pulling information from various third party sources and writing pertinent commentary Review analyses with CMFA Pool Manager, answer clarifying questions and make accurate revisions Conduct audits of existing financial models for accuracy of model inputs and validity of assumptions Review leases to abstract key data points and identify areas of issue/concern where applicable Perform extensive research, including but not limited to, reviewing and analyzing financial reports, studying comparable properties, collect information on the immediate area (demographics) and overall market. Present findings to Broker in a concise form. Compile location information on target markets, such as recent articles, job announcements, new development, etc. and update Broker frequently. Develop high-level analysis summaries by identifying transaction considerations (strengths/weaknesses), trends, outliers, and logical inconsistencies Identify and communicate any missing due diligence information or unclear requests to ensure accurate analyses; coordinate collection of additional due diligence information as required Communicate professionally to clients in the execution phase of the sales process (including assisting with Marketing Timelines, Scheduling Tours, Weekly Activity Reports, Due Diligence, Closing, etc.) Answer financial questions to Prospective Purchasers via email as they review and assess the Marketing Materials for a particular opportunity. Coordinate and monitor Due Diligence Process, including attending third party inspections, as needed. Maintain owner database and track loan maturities for Business Development Spearhead the CMFA Pool's knowledge and content management by documenting processes and training materials and disseminating tools, templates, and best practices Assist with collection and processing of broker expense reports Performs other related duties as required or requested.
