Full job description We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team! In this position you will contribute to CPC's mission by managing financial planning, analysis and reporting as well as supporting the business development function.


Responsibilities: Develop financial and capital budgets and forecasts to support executive decision making and contract negotiations for CPC's new business opportunities. Actively model new project budgets and proposal templates and process initiatives Assist with the set-up projects in the time keeping system and tracking utilization against project budgets. Perform financial analysis of organization's results as reported periodically. This includes the preparation of analysis narratives, schedules, documents and briefing notes related to financial results and forecasts. Work collaboratively with departments to ensure financial reporting requirements related to contractual and regulatory obligations are met. Create complex data models, tables and charts using system-based tools to aid in the decision-making process for new deals and management of financial and operational data. Assume lead role in modeling proforma deal structures; including analysis and reporting of income statements, cash flows, investments, capital structure, etc. Post award: support integration of all sponsor and supplier contracts in accounting systems and provide ongoing contract monitoring. Collaborate with the accounting function to support effective account reconciliation activities, as well as advise on periodic adjustments originating from the financial analysis process. Also participate in the organization's month-end activities. Provide ancillary support, training and consulting to operating departments to develop processes and tools using technology and methods to perform data analysis in connection with clinical trial projects. Provide support and backup function for finance and investment committees. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in either finance or economics. MBA desirable. Expert working knowledge of MS Excel; including advanced functions, power queries, data modeling and VBA programming. Strong working knowledge of MS Power BI or other business intelligence applications required. Advanced knowledge of database management systems (e.g. SQL) and relational database concepts, as well as understanding of various accessible data sources. Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics SL, Zoho, Dynamics GP, Financial Edge, etc.), preferably with some knowledge of requirements mapping, design and configuration. Background in customer service; clinical research industry knowledge is a plus. Ability to work independently and within the team environment, and at times under tight deadlines. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff, as well as outside suppliers and clients. Ability to prioritize tasks with close attention to detail. Ability to manage conflicts and resolve problems effectively. Note: Viable applicants will be required to pass a background and education verification check.

In-office Presence: 60% of time


Targeted Compensation: $70,000 - $95,000 annually
