Responsibilities:
What You'll Do:
- Assist the Financial Planning and Analysis function, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analytics, and automation.
- Offer insights for strategic decision-making based on comprehensive business understanding.
- Curate extensive financial databases utilizing pertinent information.
- Streamline financial reporting processes through automation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports for programs, indirect departments, and service centers, aligning them with predefined objectives.
- Collaborate with team members to consolidate budgetary and forecasted financial performances.
- Facilitate the onboarding and ongoing support for new team members, ensuring a clear grasp of organizational structure.
- Identify and investigate significant variances.
- Safeguard highly confidential financial data with utmost diligence.
- Continuously enhance expertise and technical acumen through participation in requisite workshops and courses.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance is mandatory. (One year of relevant experience may substitute one year of education, if degree is mandated.)
- Other Requirements: Must be a US citizen.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
- Familiarity with financial software systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards, and Federal Acquisition Regulations is desirable.
Skills & Technologies Utilized:
- Proficiency in PC usage is essential.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other automated accounting systems is required.
- Understanding of strategic planning and forecasting methodologies.
- Proficiency in database maintenance, design, and data mining.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques.
- Ability to conduct research and compile reports accurately.
- Competence in budget planning and tracking.
- Advanced computational skills.
