Responsibilities
• Lead and execute a portfolio of centralized close activities• Facilitate monthly closing, review, reconciliation, and reporting processes• Ensure compliance with GAAP and accounting policies• Work as a business partner with Recycling facilities and Finance Leadership• Participate in financial audits and balance sheet reviews• Complete reporting requirements for governmental entities and trade associations• Follow applicable internal controls• Establish reliable financial processes leveraging business/manufacturing knowledge• Collaboratively work on department project teams• Accountable for outsourced activities and processes• Develop into subject matter expert on department process teams
Requirements
• BS or MS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business• 2-4 years of relatable experience• Strong understanding of financial accounting and GAAP• Facility or plant experience a plus• Proficient in Microsoft Excel• Proficient in SAP a plus• Background or interest in Data Analytics, Analysis for Office, or Power BI a plus• Ability to work in a team environment• Good oral and written communication skills
