Position Summary: The Financial Aid Analyst is responsible for providing, obtaining, processing, and packaging student financial aid information and coordinating the compiling of data for various financial aid programs. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy
Duties & Responsibilities: Offer financial aid through processing applications, budgeting, packaging, adjusting, verifying data, and provide general advising to students and parents Provide information, guidance, and other resources to potential and current students, parents, staff, faculty, off-campus agencies, and high school counselorsDetermine student eligibility for financial aid based on academic progressAssist students and parents with completion of the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA)Offer financial aid presentations to a variety of populations (high school students and counselors, A-State students and faculty, others as requested) Other duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures, student financial aid programs, standards and procedures, counseling and interviewing techniques, and principles and practices of money management
Ability to review and evaluate student financial needs and prepare appropriate financial aid package, disseminate information orally and in writing, collect, analyze, compile, and record data on financial aid, and supervise the work of subordinates General Days/Hours: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications: The formal education equivalent of an earned Bachelor's Degree with a major in general business or related field
One (1) year of experience in student financial aid or related area
