The Finance Manager role to cover maternity for 12 months
A skilled Finance Manager who will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial activities within the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of success in financial management.
You'll be joining a successful scale up business who have offices in Bristol and London. You are welcome to attend either office, but you can work remotely too, as long as you can get to the London co-working spaces at least 2-3 times per year (or as needed).
What you'll be doing:
Oversee financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidation
Monthly presentation to c-suite colleagues of the accounts
Take ownership of the numbers reported, both internally and externally
Work with external stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of financial statements and in support of the financial audit
Processing of month end journals
Although you won't have a direct report, you'll provide guidance and support to the team to ensure high performance and professional development.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
About you:
At least 5 years of experience in financial management, with a proven track record of success.
Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
Confident in your presentation style and making numbers speak
Known for being a team player that understands the collective goal as well as your own
You work out loud so the wider team know what is going on
Experienced with ERP systems, it is a bonus if you are familiar with Sage Intacct
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA would be interesting but isn't essential.
