Field Service Technician Refinery

Job summary
This is a remote position within the U.S. living within a 50-mile radius of a major airport.Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical work in different environments.Field Service Technician for John Zink in the combustion and vapor recovery fields for the refining and petrochemical industries.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Installation supervision, troubleshooting, and maintenance recommendations to customers.• Operational and functional knowledge of register burners, duct burners, or utility burners.• Communicate with PLC's, PLC logic, and HMI's.• Rudimentary knowledge of electrical design and wiring skills.• Travel to customer job sites on a regular basis.
Requirements
• Experience working with register burners, duct burners, or utility burners.• Experience working with PLC's and PLC programming for controlling combustion equipment or similar equipment.• Able to travel to job sites approximately 75% of the time.• A TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) will have to be obtained within the first six (6) weeks of employment.• Valid Drivers License.• Candidate must live within a 50-mile radius of a major airport.• Physical requirements: Able to lift up to 50# on occasion and 25# routinely, able to bend, stoop, crawl and maneuver around skidded equipment and piping.• Able to hear distinct sounds, visualize all colors of spectrum and visually see up close and at a distance.• Field work experience in the petrochemical, power generation, pulp & paper or food processing industries.
