Field Service Technician Our client, an international supplier of assembly equipment for the automotive industry, is searching for a Field Service Technician to support customers for installations, troubleshooting, repair, and training at customer facilities in a territory consisting of KY, TN, AL, GA. The company is a leading European-based provider of high quality precision assembly equipment. This is a direct position with the company. This position is an addition to the team due to growth. Expect 50-60% travel. A thorough product training period will take place after hire. This is a remote, home office-based position as the North American HQ is in the Detroit area. As part of their Field Service team, the position is responsible for: Install, maintain and repair machine tooling and mechanics, electronics and pneumatics Ensure customer satisfaction through service excellence Provide customer training and start-up support Identify, analyze, and repair equipment failures Strategically promote, educate and market company products and services to customers The candidate who is successful in this role will have multiple career growth paths within the company. Key Elements 3 years maintenance, installation, repair of mechanical equipment. Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and automated machine functions Ability to utilize a troubleshooting methodology pertaining to electro-mechanical assemblies Knowledge and understanding of PLC's and HMIs Knowledge and understanding of Servo Motors and motion control Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to conduct tests and inspections of equipment using pressure, mechanical, or electronic testing equipment Knowledge of press equipment or assembly equipment is desirable There is much more to share about this opportunity.
