We are currently seeking a Field Biologist to bolster our environmental consulting team across the Southwest region on a full-time basis. Specializing in compliance with regulations such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Clean Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act, our work encompasses various aspects of natural resources management, ecological investigations, and mitigation planning. This position can be based in either our Phoenix or Tucson office.
Responsibilities:
Conducting field surveys and investigations.
Supervising and training junior field crew members.
Developing permitting and compliance documents.
Overseeing project-related tasks.
Providing support for other departmental projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in field-oriented investigations and managing field crews.
Ability to identify Great Basin flora on sight.
Strong communication skills.
Physical capability to navigate diverse environments, including extreme temperatures and rough terrain.
Prior experience in the Western United States preferred.
Working knowledge of relevant biological and botanical permitting processes is advantageous.
