Responsibilities
• Provide skilled clinical marital and family therapy treatment to clients with complex psychological and social problems• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop treatment plans• Provide individual, family, and group therapy• Collaborate with other mental health providers to improve service delivery• Assist in resolving administrative and clinical issues• Develop data for statistical and planning systems• Prepare reports and suggest operational policies• Oversee development and implementation of client treatment plans• May provide expert testimony and represent program in liaisons with community agencies• Chair or serve on committees that develop services for clients
Requirements
• Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed marital and family therapist• Possess and retain a license to practice marital and family therapy in Connecticut• Knowledge of marital and family therapy methodology, casework, and group work• Familiarity with family and interpersonal relationship dynamics• Knowledge of statutes, regulations, and standards relating to mental health services• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to apply current psychiatric treatment modalities to address client needs• Ability to devise comprehensive treatment plans for complex cases• Ability to lead treatment teams and task groups
