Responsibility: The Family Specialist position will be responsible for providing continuity of care, with the goal of permanent placement, for adolescents in the custody of the DCBS through a case management model that includes a team approach, developing, expanding, accessing, and linking resources in the community to the needs of the child throughout the child's experience in the system, while documenting the progress The population served will be adolescents, many of which have experienced significant trauma and multiple family displacements and disruptions in their young lives Qualifications: Ability to be non-reactive in the midst of crisis situations Trauma-informed philosophy and congruent behaviors Experience and ability to work with adults and children from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic environments All Case Managers at Kulima Care will successfully complete CM Certification A valid driver's license, All potential job candidates must pass an extensive background check Minimal Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field A minimum of 5 years of job experience in foster care or related community-based casework, and/or working with youth and families.
