Full job description The Family Services Coordinator is responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive family services program; and Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility, Attendance (ERSEA) in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards. The work includes coordinating the needs of children and families into the overall program ensuring that these services are provided. To act as an Ambassador to the Agency and to reflect all Agency matters in a positive way.
REPORTS TO: Head Start Director
FLSA STATUS: Full Time, Exempt – Administrative
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures program compliance in Program Governance, Family Engagement, and ERSEA in accordance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards. Provide mentoring and coaching to Family Advocates and Coordinators in the areas of Family Services and ERSEA. Monitor and submit Family Services and ERSEA related PIR data. Develop community partnerships with Child Welfare agencies in ICAA's services area as well as coordinate the development of partnerships with other state and local agencies that provide services to Head Start children and families. Evaluate, design, and monitor systems to process enrollment applications, including determination of eligibility and selection criteria. Confirm eligibility for new and participating families. Oversee processing applications for accuracy and timeliness. Act as System Administrator to maintain systems, databases, files, etc. ensuring security of data. Provide support (including training and orientation) to the Head Start Policy Council and attend monthly Policy Council meetings. Ensure Child Abuse and Neglect training is conducted per Performance Standards. Ensure that records and data are maintained in a confidential manner. Debrief with staff around issues related to child abuse and domestic violence. Follow-up on family health/wellness and diversity issues. Provide information, referrals, and coordinating efforts to link staff and families with appropriate community resources. Coordinate Parent Education training opportunities and ensure they are taking place. Participate in the planning and implementation of the annual self-assessment process. Monitor home visits completed by direct service staff to ensure adequate service delivery. Monitor to ensure compliance related to funded enrollment, slot tracking, and attendance. Submit monthly reports for the HS Enterprise System. Prepare and distribute timely reports and tracking regarding ERSEA updates. Assure written policies are current in the areas of Family Services and ERSEA. Attend interagency, organizations, and committee meetings as appropriate. Develop and monitor Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) goals and outcomes data. Responsible for active supervision of all children during Head Start/EHS/CCP activities. Participate in the interview and hiring process. Provide orientation to new staff and Policy Council regarding the Family Services/ERSEA content areas. Provide/coordinate Family Service Credential Training for new Family Resource Providers, Teachers, and Regional Managers. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Child Care Partnership Family Advocates
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in family development, human services, or a related degree is required. Supervisory experience not necessary but preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver's license with current
vehicle insurance. Documentation of degree. Transcripts of post secondary education.

STARTING WAGE: $24-27/hour, based on experience.
