HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, repairing equipment malfunctions, and implementing preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, lubricating, and cleaning machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues and perform repairs as needed.Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.Conduct preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.Monitor equipment performance and conduct regular inspections to identify signs of wear and tear or other abnormalities.Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory levels.Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure seamless operations.Comply with safety regulations and protocols.Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems as needed.Be regularly informed of industry developments, best practices in maintenance techniques, and technologies.Coordinate with contracted maintenance personnel for outside maintenance or project needs.Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Plant Manager.An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
