Hello! Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Facilities Technician. Position type: Full Time, Contract Duration: 12 months Location: Colorado Springs, CO As a Facilities Technician, you will be:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment, and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.). Perform highly developed trades work, with an emphasis on electrical work as well general maintenance trades work such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Support conference room set-ups/tear-downs, internal moves, dry-erase board installations. Support Facilities moves, furniture installations, and reconfigurations. Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Require knowledge of applicable standards or regulations. Essential Functions: Highly developed support individual contributor: Works autonomously. May act as a mentor to lower-level peers and provide guidance on tasks. Makes recommendations for solutions. Works on assignments requiring judgment and initiative. Communication & Influence: Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. Makes recommendations for solutions. Innovation & Complexity: Work is structured within identified boundaries and procedures. May work on assignments requiring judgment and initiative. Uses knowledge and experience to resolve issues. Organization Impact: Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is of larger scope, typically on less structured task-related activities requiring judgement. Education & Experience: Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience as a Licensed Electrical Journeyman. Other Qualifications: Licensed Electrical Journeyman. Follows Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills: Demonstrated customer service skills and team player Basic mechanical or "handyman" aptitude. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, extended seating or standing, or other physical efforts. Must have ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Will need to work outside, inside, walking building and grounds. Exposure to exterior elements including cold, wind, and heat. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
