We have the opportunity to bring in a high-energy, tenacious, and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and integrity to join the team.The Fire Suppression Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for working in a team environment performing maintenance, testing, and managing impairments on all fire suppression systems. The Fire Suppression Technician completes regular inspections to ensure the systems and equipment continue to work according to their specifications and in the event of a system failure, must be proficient to restore the equipment to service as soon as possible.ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA standardsUnderstanding of IFC codes, NFPA codes/standards, and requirements governing fire suppression systemsAble to understand P&ID drawings, one-line diagrams, and the ability to troubleshoot faults and alarmsProvide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipmentProvide effective and proficient responses to restore equipment to service as soon as possible, in the event of a system failureIdentify and respond according to alarm conditionsProvide effective and timely support to resolve equipment issuesIdentify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and maximize system stabilityInspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systemsMaintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipmentManage site Red Tag systems, isolations, and impairmentsQualificationsNICET certification or the ability to acquire NICET certification2 years of related experience and/or equivalent experience and/or equivalent military experienceAbility to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and potentially rotate from days to nights every 4 monthsPreferred qualificationsNICET certification5 years of related experienceAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
