We have the opportunity to bring in a high-energy, tenacious, and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and integrity to join the team.As an Electrical Maintenance Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all the medium and low voltage systems on-site up to 35kV. This includes distribution switchgear, UPS units, dynamic UPS units, power quality systems, transformers, cable and bus systems, VFDs, and controls and monitoring systems. In this role, you will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, corrective work, inspections, and coordination of work activities performed by contractors.ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA 70E standardsExtensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code NFPA70Understanding of electrical one-line diagrams and the ability to perform feeder switching on electrical switchboards with redundant feedsProvide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipmentProvide effective and proficient responses to restore equipment to service as soon as possible in the event of a system failureIdentify and respond according to alarm conditionsProvide effective and timely support to resolve equipment issuesIdentify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and maximize system stabilityMaintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipmentQualifications3 years of electrical industrial, semiconductor, or related field or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience2 years of maintenance experienceAbility to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and potentially rotate from days to nights every 4 monthsPreferred qualificationsValid Electrical journeymen license5 years experienceAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
