Fabric Tester

Position Title: Fabric Tester
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of fabric cleanliness and identify any damages, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Verify the correctness of all labels on the products, emphasizing accuracy. Ensure that the fiber used in the production run matches the specified requirements, maintaining product integrity. Retrieve and review specifications for the products scheduled for testing, entering relevant data into the computer system for the testing process. Prepare fabric samples for cutting and subsequent testing on the stretch testing machine according to specified parameters. Perform strength tests on the fabric in both machine direction (MD) and cross direction (CD) as per provided specifications. Assess weight and thickness of fabric samples manually, following specified guidelines. Record test results accurately and generate reports for review by Operations, highlighting any necessary adjustments. Conduct two walkthroughs during each shift to monitor ongoing processes and identify any issues or discrepancies. Inspect all cutting dyes for damages and ensure they are signed off on before use, maintaining equipment integrity. Qualifications:
Proven experience in fabric testing or a related field. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects or inconsistencies. Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures, particularly stretch testing machines. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficiency in data entry and computer software for recording and analyzing test results. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and reporting findings to supervisors. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and integrity of our fabric products, ensuring they meet the highest standards for our customers.
