Discover your exciting roleThe Lead Estimator is responsible for leading a discipline team of estimators for various complex projects. Will direct the quantitative development of material, labor, equipment, and subcontract take-offs, as well as the coordination of information among Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and the Client.
Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesCoordinates information among the project team and Client Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements Leads discipline estimator work sequence and internal reviews of their deliverables to meet project demand Prepares the total Project Basis of Estimate Leads the preparation of Project Estimates and supports the presentation to Executive and Client management teams. Develop discipline estimates as necessary to support project demands Mentor and provide guidance to assigned discipline estimators. Provide feedback on performance to Discipline Estimating Manager Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors Travel to support both project and corporate needs Other duties as assigned Show your expertiseHigh School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred 10+ years of progressive experience in construction estimating Proven leadership experience in a senior estimating role Understands the fundamental concepts of engineering drawings Understand and apply AACE Recommended Practices MS Office Suite Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Extensive knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices
