Position: Experimental Avionics Technician Location: Wichita, KS, 67215 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Contract Work Type: On-Site Shift: (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM) Job Description: Responsible for carrying out avionics/electrical system installation and troubleshooting duties on experimental aircraft.
Required to perform these duties in support of new product and sustaining aircraft designs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordination with other engineering and technical groups to help develop, implement, monitor and status assignments.
Plan and perform the work involved in the installation, modification, and troubleshooting of all prototype avionics/electrical systems in all Cessna aircraft models
Ability to use various types of specialized test equipment to troubleshoot aircraft systems
Ability to work independently and be responsible for good decision-making
Work with all aspects of experimental aircraft design and will be required to frequently interact with engineering personnel
Responsible for own work only.
Minimum Requirements: EDUCATION: High School education or equivalent is required.
2 years college or technical school and/or military avionics/electronic schools
Broad training and fundamental skills for hands on avionics/electrical troubleshooting of aircraft systems preferred
